Ribo is set on a future Earth ravaged by climate change, pillaged by corporations and populated by an ever changing definition of humanity. Inhabitants of this Earth are in constant danger of famine, attacks by mutated "subhumans", devious corporations and rogue science.

Characters in Ribo face these challenges with advanced biotechnology, mutations and pure grit in an attempt to scrape out an existence and get ahead in their brutal society.
